Josh and Karissa are a beautiful couple who met at a carnival and wanted to honor that meeting by having a carnival-themed wedding as they had recently become engaged. They had already had retro carnival-themed engagement pictures taken, so my job was to tie their wedding suite and subsequent branding into this, as well as take it even further to create their own style for them as a couple.
I started with color. I chose a muted red, turquoise, yellow, and tan color palette to evoke the classic Barnum and Bailey’s style, while a focus on fun, modern typography put a fresh twist on the old-style feel. Red and tan stripes coupled with stars also added to the fun.
The result is a joyful, unique branding that suits Josh and Karissa to a T, showcases their fun-loving nature, and honors their adorable first meeting.
