An Ode to Typography Class
Valencia College Faculty & Alumni Exhibition Featured Artwork
For this exhibition whose theme was "letters," I immediately thought back to my amazing Typography class where we had to create interesting layouts solely out of type, which ended up being one of my favorite projects that semester. I decided to test my layout and type skills by limiting myself to using only black type, ripped white paper, and black ink to create a visually appealing triptych. I ended up using the "Lorem Ipsum" type, which is also known as filler or dummy text and went to work.
The result is a far departure from my usual colorful designs, but I quite like how the triptych turned out! It looks very formal, yet not stodgy, and would be the perfect addition to any type-loving graphic designer's office.
